Responsibilities
  • Manage the onboarding process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of clients' regulatory publishing.
  • Actively support and oversee vendor and client relationships related to clients’ regulatory publishing.
  • Actively engage with existing and new clients to align their financial publishing statements to provide a consistent implementation process that will enhance their operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of each implementation to ensure that all deadlines are met.
  • Provides consultative financial reporting expertise on issues raised on funds by internal partners.
  • Attend client meetings and ensure delivery of quality services to all financial publishing statement clients.
  • Ensure appropriate timelines with clients and external vendors are negotiated.
  • Research and respond to financial statement publishing questions/concerns and testing items from clients and vendors.
  • Provide training/consultative support to financial reporting team.
  • Participate in presentations to potential and existing clients on the client regulatory publishing services.
  • Provide guidance and lead team training and performance-related tasks in accordance with company policies and corporate goals.
  • Manage all aspects of resource management: recruitment, training, performance reviews and succession planning ensuring appropriate staffing levels to carry out the work of the department.
  • Research and apply regulatory changes for Financial Services.
  • Participate in automation and special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Accounting and a professional designation preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years progressive experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Canadian tax experience; including people management.
  • Tax and accounting experience in the investment fund industry is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight timelines.
  • High degree of commitment to quality work and accuracy.
