Job Description

What You’ll Do :

  • Responsible for consolidating financial results for internal and external reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all jurisdictions (Canada, US, Europe).
  • Prepare external consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and audit committee reports quarterly and annually.
  • Manage quarterly and annual consolidated audits and local statutory audits.
  • Research new accounting standards/changes, make recommendations on policy updates and disclosures, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
  • Manage and prepare accounting entries for various accounts, including debt instruments, shareholders' equity, acquisitions, and other liabilities.
  • Support management with complex accounting transactions and assessments.
  • Assist with legal entity accounting and transfer pricing adjustments for reporting and tax compliance.
  • Conduct financial analyses and prepare supporting working papers.
  • Lead public company filings, including SEDAR submissions.
  • Assist in documenting and implementing accounting policies and internal controls, promoting best practices.
  • Support ad hoc requests, projects, and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • CPA, CA designation or equivalent.
  • Experience in a public company or media/studio production environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 3, 15, 16) and public company reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
  • Analytical, effective communicator, and capable of engaging with senior management.
  • Proactive in process improvement and open to new ideas.
  • Thrives in fast-paced settings with high integrity and ethics.
  • Team-oriented, enthusiastic, eager to learn and succeed.
  • Proficient in Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
