Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Senior Consolidation Manager to join our Canada finance team in Kitchener. You will oversee the monthly group consolidation, analytical reviews and the preparation of group financial statements, audit schedules and notes to the financial statements.

You will review subsidiary financial data for US GAAP compliance, maintain the Hyperion Financial Management system, and drive improvements in accounting policies and internal controls while supporting SEC reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines.
• Certified Public Accountant (US CPA, Canada CPA or ACCA membership).
• 10+ years of progressive experience, including 3+ years in a consolidation or financial reporting role.
• Big-4 audit background and/or recent work experience in preparing public company consolidated.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly group consolidation and analytical review.
• Prepare and organize group financial statements, audit schedules, consolidation proofs, and notes to the financial statements.
• Review the financial data of subsidiaries and work with regional controllers to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting system and lead system enhancements within HFM.
• Formulate improvement in accounting policies, work processes and internal control procedures.
• Support compliance with SEC public company requirements of US-listed parent, including regulatory filings with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission.
• Support regional accounting teams on complex or unusual transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC interpretations.
• Liaise with external auditors
