We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be key in financial analysis, compliance, and strategic decision-making. If you are a CPA with 5+ years of experience, excellent analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is for you.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
2. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, collaborating with the finance team for accurate and timely reporting.
3. Support year-end audits, acting as a primary contact for auditors.
4. Partner with the Managing Director and VP of Finance to develop and prepare client budgets aligned with statements of work.
5. Assist account teams with monthly project budget tracking and client reporting.
6. Review fee and expense details, ensuring proper coding and backup documentation.
7. Contribute to developing internal budgets, forecasts, and projections.
8. Upload budgets and forecasts into the financial system for accurate planning.
9. Develop management reports with insights and recommendations.
10. Assist with monthly client P&L statements for accurate financial insights.
11. Perform adhoc reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
12. Coordinate with accounts payable to manage invoicing and cash flow.
13. Monitor receivables and client credit limits, working with accounts receivable to secure payments.
14. Provide timely expense details to Project Managers.
15. Prepare and review staff utilization reports, flagging issues for management.
16. Monitor the balance sheet, conduct reconciliations, and maintain accurate records.
17. Support ad hoc projects leveraging your financial expertise.

What you bring

• CPA designation.
• Ability to manage a media finance team.
• 3+ years of agency or media finance experience; accounting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of MediaOcean software & Google Sheets.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel / Google Suite; Maconomy experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Client-focused mindset and positive relationship-building skills.
• Leadership qualities and a solid work ethic.
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools for client work.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
