Make an impact within our Indigenous Services team as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals are dedicated to exceeding clients’ unique needs within a rapidly evolving business and financial reporting landscape. MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenous Nations, businesses, and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250 Indigenous clients and 300 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firm has invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs of Indigenous communities.

Our clients include various First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities as well as Indigenous organizations and associations across the country. We support our clients to develop strategic, business and operational plans that are thoughtful as much as engagement driven. Responsibilities

  • Lead the dynamic planning, scheduling and execution of financial engagements with Indigenous communities and enterprises.
  • Deliver your expertise into client interactions, reports, technical work, and management presentations to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, immersing yourself into understanding their operations, key risks, and opportunities for value-addition.
  • Support and guide internal teams and subject matter experts to ensure client satisfaction, delivering value to the client on every engagement.
  • Maintain quality control using your specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and tackle issues relevant to the client’s operations, financial entries, and reports.
  • Create connections within the vibrant Indigenous community, developing business development opportunities and preparing compelling proposals to meet client needs.
  • Mentor, motivate and inspire team members towards professional and personal growth through clear guidance, constructive feedback, and impactful performance reviews.
  • Maintain the flexibility to travel to engage with clients in-person.
  • Relocation assistance provided up to $4,000 to help cover the cost of moving furniture, temporary housing, and travel to the new location.

Skills and Experience

  • CPA or CAFM designation.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or enterprises an asset.
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.
