Who we’re looking for:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Field Operations Burnaby, reporting to the Director, Field Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Field Operations department, supporting and ensuring high levels of customer service.

The Manager, Field Operations will lead, develop, and motivate a team of skilled field technicians to meet customer experience and craft expectations. They will also focus on growth and training, guiding the technician team and helping the Directors set regional priorities.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and mentor staff — recruitment, coaching, development, performance management, and compensation
  • Build relationships with employees and customers through daily communication and engagement monitoring
  • Identify and eliminate barriers to team and business success
  • Drive business growth — rollout of new products, processes, and tools; identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure delivery of exceptional customer service — handle escalations, monitor work quality, support team daily
  • Ensure team adherence to all Health & Safety regulations
  • Conduct site visits to assess performance, address challenges, and ensure safety compliance
  • Create and manage operational and capital budgets
What you bring:
  • Knowledge of CATV, plant maintenance, construction, planning, installations, and service experience
  • Supervisory training or experience with a strong team-building record
  • Excellent communication skills — presentation, public speaking, writing, facilitation
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills
  • Goal-oriented, motivated, with public interaction skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Internet applications
  • Availability for various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and annual driver’s abstract
