Hiring the Position of Manager - Facility Services
Responsibilities
The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is seeking an experienced individual with a professional certification to provide strategic direction and leadership for the operations of the Board’s facility services and capital activities. Reporting to the Associate Director - Corporate Services & Treasurer, the Manager of Facility Services will be responsible for:
Duties And Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and supervision to the Facility Services department
- Capital project planning and construction
- Facility renewal, renovations, maintenance and repairs
- Custodial operations
- Energy management
- Ministry of Education reporting and budget accountability
- Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements as set out by various government agencies
Qualifications And Skills
- Post-secondary qualifications in the discipline of Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences or a related field;
- Five (5) years experience in construction or facilities management;
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, team building and communication skills;
- Proven organizational, project and budget management abilities;
- Comprehensive understanding of design, public sector tendering, and construction processes;
- Extensive knowledge of institutional/commercial building mechanical and electrical systems; and
- Current knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
