Hiring the Position of Manager - Facility Services

Responsibilities

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board is seeking an experienced individual with a professional certification to provide strategic direction and leadership for the operations of the Board’s facility services and capital activities. Reporting to the Associate Director - Corporate Services & Treasurer, the Manager of Facility Services will be responsible for:

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and supervision to the Facility Services department
  • Capital project planning and construction
  • Facility renewal, renovations, maintenance and repairs
  • Custodial operations
  • Energy management
  • Ministry of Education reporting and budget accountability
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements as set out by various government agencies

Qualifications And Skills

  • Post-secondary qualifications in the discipline of Engineering, Architecture, Building Sciences or a related field;
  • Five (5) years experience in construction or facilities management;
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, team building and communication skills;
  • Proven organizational, project and budget management abilities;
  • Comprehensive understanding of design, public sector tendering, and construction processes;
  • Extensive knowledge of institutional/commercial building mechanical and electrical systems; and
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
