A leading educational solutions firm in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Events Marketing. This role is pivotal in shaping the event strategy and execution, particularly for the flagship Summit 2026. The successful candidate will balance strategic ownership with hands-on event delivery, driving ROI and pipeline contributions. Strong experience in B2B events is essential. Competitive salary and a remote-first culture with significant growth opportunities offered.
Events with Impact: Scale Strategy. Prove ROI. Fuel Expansion.
At Acuity Insights, events aren’t just dates on a calendar; they’re powerful stages where we shape conversations in higher education, build trust with partners, and spark demand for our solutions.
As our first Manager, Events Marketing, you’ll step into a role with strong foundations already in place and the rare opportunity to shape the function for its next chapter.
That next chapter means building an event strategy that supports international expansion, ensuring every investment delivers measurable ROI, and turning our flagship Summit into a stand-out industry event. You’ll gain the chance to lead strategy and execution, coach a teammate, and make your mark on how Acuity shows up on the global stage.
If you’ve been looking for an opportunity where your work has a visible, lasting impact and where you can pair hands-on execution with strategic ownership, this is it.
As our Manager, Events Marketing, you’ll take a strong foundation of conferences, webinars, and our flagship Summit and shape it into a world-class events program.
You’ll balance strategy and execution, making data-driven recommendations on where Acuity should show up on the global stage, how we should invest, and which experiences will deliver the greatest impact. You’ll ground decisions in ROI and pipeline contribution, bringing clarity to conversations with senior leaders and helping the organization align on the right priorities. At the same time, you’ll roll up your sleeves to deliver high-profile events yourself, ensuring both strategy and execution are equally strong.
This is a player-coach role where you’ll manage a Senior Events Marketing Specialist and work closely with cross-functional partners. You’ll bring rigour to event measurement, confidence in making tradeoffs, and creativity in shaping the event experiences that fuel the pipeline, elevate our brand, and expand our global reach.
You’ll also play a central role in evolving Summit into a stand-out industry event, building the discipline to measure ROI across all event types, and designing the annual roadmap that guides Acuity into new markets.
You’ll report to the Director of Marketing and partner closely with:
You’ll also manage a Senior Events Marketing Specialist, providing coaching, clarity, and smart delegation as a true player-coach.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, multidisciplinary marketing team that balances depth, experimentation, and care. We move quickly and collaboratively, embracing progress over perfection and learning as we go.
You get energy from creating experiences that bring people together—sparking conversations, building relationships, and leaving a lasting impression. You’ve been in the thick of B2B events, from buzzing conference floors to virtual stages, and you know the magic happens when strategy and execution come together seamlessly.
You’re equal parts planner and strategist. You can wrangle budgets, timelines, and vendors with ease, but you also light up when curating themes, shaping agendas, and deciding where events can make the biggest impact.
You thrive as a player-coach, someone who can mentor a teammate with clarity and care, while still rolling up your sleeves to lead a flagship event yourself. You’re collaborative at heart, comfortable navigating multiple stakeholders, and resilient when things change (because in events, they always do).
Most of all, you’re excited by the opportunity to build on a strong foundation and help build what’s next: an events engine that drives growth, proves its ROI, and takes Acuity onto a bigger stage across North America and into new markets around the world.
Success in this role starts with hitting the ground running, taking ownership of high-priority events while building the strategies, processes, and partnerships that take our events program to the next level.

You do your best work when you’re trusted to lead with autonomy, given room to grow, and supported with the resources you need to make an impact. At Acuity, we design our support with that in mind, so you can focus on building, learning, and shaping what’s next in your career.
We view hiring as a two-way conversation. Our goal is to learn about your career journey, abilities, and interests while giving you the insight you need to decide whether this role and team feel like the right fit.
Here are the steps to expect:
During our conversations, we may use AI-powered note-taking to support focus and accuracy, but all decisions are made by people.
We know our process is a meaningful time commitment, and we truly appreciate the effort and energy you invest in getting to know us. We aim to make every step thoughtful, transparent, and worthwhile, for you as much as for us.
We believe everyone has incredible potential. At Acuity Insights, our mission is to uncover it, nurture it, and help bring it to life.
Our journey began with a bold idea: to improve how we assess people, not just by academic metrics, but by who they are. In partnership with McMaster University, we developed Casper in 2004 to measure the durable, human skills that matter in health professions and other fields where people work with people. That vision came to life with the founding of Altus Assessments in 2014.
Meanwhile, One45 started in 1998 at the University of British Columbia, helping medical education programs digitize complex processes like curriculum management, scheduling, and assessment. Over time, it became a trusted partner to programs across North America and beyond.
In 2021, Altus Assessments acquired One45, and in 2022, we unified as Acuity Insights, a single, growing organization with a shared purpose and broader vision.
What started as two distinct products is now one integrated mission supported by our Analytics solution, which delivers actionable insights to drive continuous improvement across the learner journey.
Today, our platform supports students and institutions from admissions to graduation across North America, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and Saudi Arabia.
As we continue to grow, we’re committed to being more than a software provider. We’re trusted thought leaders and valued advisors in higher education, offering practical solutions, strategic insights, and guidance that help our partners make confident, informed decisions.
We’re a remote-first team of 130+ people who care deeply about our work and about each other. While we collaborate virtually across time zones, we make space for connection through thoughtful rituals, candid conversations, and the occasional in-person meetup when we can.
Our core values (caring, curious, and driven) shape how we show up for each other, our partners, and the learners and educators we serve. We listen with intention, build with purpose, and hold ourselves to high standards without losing sight of empathy and balance.
We’re committed to inclusion and belonging, not just in principle but in practice. We know that diverse perspectives make us better, more creative, more resilient, and more equipped to solve meaningful problems. Our policies are designed to support equity, flexibility, and well-being.
If you’re looking for purposeful work, room to grow, and a team that’s as thoughtful as it is ambitious, we hope you’ll consider joining us.
