Summary :

We are seeking a Manager, Event Marketing to join our Marketing team in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary. This role requires a strategic leader who is comfortable building and executing event marketing strategies to meet business targets.

The successful candidate will drive AQL, MQL, and CQL targets through innovative events, leading programs such as virtual events, trade shows, customer experiences, and experimental formats. You will lead a team, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure strategic goals are achieved.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to build vision, execute plans, and develop people while managing change and cross-functional collaboration effectively.

What your team does :

Our team focuses on engaging the legal community, customers, and prospects through bar partnerships, live events, meetups, webinars, channel marketing, and our annual conference, ClioCon. You will be the strategic and operational leader of a key revenue-generating events channel and develop a high-performing team.

Who you are :

You are a hands-on leader who balances strategy with execution, thrives in dynamic environments, and communicates effectively. You value feedback, teamwork, and aim to deliver impactful results.

What you'll work on :

  • Develop and execute the events and field marketing strategy aligned with pipeline growth goals.
  • Lead and participate in planning and executing key programs including virtual events, customer summits, trade shows, and pilots.
  • Define success metrics for the events team and ensure delivery against these goals.
  • Manage budgets, performance metrics, and tools for program efficiency.
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Demand Generation teams to align strategies.
  • Lead planning efforts, prioritize initiatives, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Represent the events function in strategic discussions and executive updates.
  • Navigate ambiguity with clarity, adapt to business shifts, and make confident decisions.
  • Travel as needed, approximately 5-10 times per year.

What you may have :

  • 7-10+ years in marketing, with deep experience in events and field marketing, plus 2+ years in management.
  • Proven ability to drive results in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong team-building, talent development, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing pipeline targets, budgets, and external relationships.
  • Collaborative, curious, action-oriented mindset.

Bonus points if you have :

  • Experience in the legal industry or B2B SaaS.
  • Familiarity with Asana, G Suite, Salesforce, Zoom Events, and Wordpress.
