Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated engineering support to on-site operational teams including Production, Quality, Methods, Supply Chain, and Flight Operations during interior fabrication, completion activities, ground runs, flight testing, and delivery to the customer.
  • Handle troubleshooting and nonconformance disposition for Global 5500/6500/7500 aircraft across all shifts.
  • Collaborate with site leaders using a holistic engineering approach to meet program objectives.
  • Create and influence complex tactical plans to support high-priority operational milestones.
  • Establish strategy, governance, and tactical plans for the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with Global Engineering teams in Montreal, Toronto, and Red Oak to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Prepare presentations and lead technical discussions with customer representatives during delivery.
  • Coach engineering supervisors and team members to foster a collaborative, engaged, and trustworthy environment.
  • Engage with the Liaison and Completion communities across Bombardier to leverage best practices and improve processes.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Have over 5 years of experience in aerospace engineering leadership roles.
  • Support production operations, disposition nonconformances, and troubleshoot aircraft effectively.
  • Make sound technical decisions under pressure and resolve complex engineering issues promptly.
  • Be a people leader who fosters growth and trust among team members.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be proactive, influence others, and work well in a team.
  • Be available to work outside typical hours when needed.
