Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Manager of Electrical Manufacturing to join a large technology manufacturing client on a 5-day a week, onsite, permanent position in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing Engineering, the Manager of Electronics Manufacturing works towards standardizing designs, component selections and final approval on panelization layouts to improve manufacturability. Daily responsibilities consist of working closely with the Hardware Engineers during new board releases to ensure designs are ready for production. This role will also provide feedback to Design Engineers and provide management regarding current board designs to improve yields and quality, along with overseeing quality and maintenance of the SMT lines.

Skills and Requirements

7 - 10 years previous experience as a line manager managing a team of 10-15 people

Proficient knowledge of SMT component package and marking

Own the development, optimization, and documentation of all SMT processes including stencil printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and inspection (AOI/X-ray)

Proficient knowledge of IPC-610

Proficient knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles (Six Sigma)

Proficient knowledge of inventory and ERP systems (Net Suite, Oracle, SAP)

Proficient experience in Microsoft Excel and Word Minimum of a high school diploma, with preference of a relevant Technical Diploma. null
