About the role : We are seeking a Manager, Electronics Engineering to lead our electrical engineering team. You will oversee the development of electronics interfacing with quantum processing units and control cryogenic systems, supporting both existing and next-generation products, including high-speed digital and low-noise analog electronic interfaces, cryogenic filters, transmission lines, and high-reliability control systems.

What you'll do :
  1. Lead the electrical engineering team.
  2. Guide design and research aligned with D-Wave’s development roadmap.
  3. Plan and support career development for team members.
  4. Contribute directly to electrical engineering projects.
  5. Coordinate with other teams to develop electrical specifications for multidisciplinary projects.
  6. Develop and refine design and documentation best practices.
  7. Work with operations and service teams on electrical maintenance and upgrades of quantum systems.
What you’ll bring :
  1. Leadership experience with at least 3 years leading engineering teams.
  2. Degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics.
  3. Experience with high-speed digital FPGAs is an asset.
  4. Experience with low-noise, high-frequency analog and mixed-signal electronics is an asset.
  5. Microwave design experience is an asset.
  6. High-reliability industrial controls design experience is an asset.
  7. Excellent communication skills.
  8. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Organizational and decision-making skills.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  11. Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  12. Creative team player capable of working across disciplines.
  13. Professional registration or eligibility with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.

Salary and Benefits : The annual salary range is $137,500 to $206,000, reflecting the Canadian national average for this role. Compensation will be adjusted based on location, education, experience, and skills. Benefits include participation in an incentive plan, equity grants, PTO, and comprehensive health insurance, among others.
