Job description

To support our mission, we are currently seeking an experienced Manager, Electrical Engineering to join our team in Vancouver.

What does this role involve?
  • You will be involved in the electrical engineering design of mineral processing plants and associated infrastructure. This could include industrial processing plants as well as precious metals plants and iron ore plants and associated services.
  • Working across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle, your involvement will span from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning to operations.
  • You will be required to liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • As the Lead Electrical Engineer in a highly experienced team, you will be exposed to a continuous succession of small and large projects as they progress through the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of personal safety and safety in design practices.
  • Leading a team of 8+ Engineers and Designers.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia, Quebec, or other provinces in Canada and the United States would be an asset.
  • Minimum of 8 years of Canadian or U.S.A. Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Extensive engineering experience in design/consultancy/operational environments, with previous experience in industrial processing and/or mining and metals being an asset.
  • Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities, and activities.
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Experience with both MV and LV power transmission and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems in applications.
  • Familiarity with database tools, AutoCAD, and ETAP (preferred).
  • Ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and co-workers.
  • Able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of codes, governing regulations, and industry practices.
