We combine technical accounting skills in IFRS, Canadian and US GAAP, practical experience in financial reporting processes and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, as well as deep sector and regulatory knowledge to deliver world-class service to our clients.

Your key responsibilities

  • Help finance leaders address challenges and manage repercussions on the accounting and finance function.
  • Partner with clients in acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs, GAAP conversions, optimization/restructuring, and accounting standards policy implementation.
  • Remediate pre-existing material weaknesses or significant deficiencies in control frameworks.
  • Create innovative commercial insights for clients and drive improvements in business processes.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Technical accounting experience in IFRS and US GAAP along with audit experience at a top accounting firm.
  • Experience auditing clients who comply with NI 52-109 and/or SOX 404 regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of control failures within organizations.
  • Prepare deliverables tailored to client needs.
  • Supervise engagement teams and conduct performance reviews.
  • Understand the client’s industry and recognize key performance drivers.
  • Develop people by encouraging individual contributions to the team.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A Canadian CPA designation (or an equivalent international qualification), and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Audit or business experience in the application of accounting standards, including IFRS.
  • Demonstrate mastery of key concepts related to internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Impeccable client relationship skills and dedication to teamwork.
