The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Communications & Stewardship, the Manager, Donor Stewardship, will design and implement multi-year, multi-tier strategies to engage donors and foster positive interactions that impact fundraising. The manager will work collaboratively across Foundation teams to develop effective and personalized donor stewardship strategies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Foundation’s donor journey strategy across segments, including Annual, Monthly, Event, and Major Gifts.
  • Lead project management, planning, implementation, and tracking of stewardship plans aligned with donor segments.
  • Build and oversee yearly engagement strategies for affinity groups such as 100Women and Spirit of Life Society.
  • Lead stewardship communications, including personalized donor messages and impact reports.
  • Design and maintain donor recognition areas across the hospital.
  • Manage donor lists for impact reports and ongoing communications; lead data management with the Donor Services team.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with hospital staff for impact reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of stewardship plans and ensure timely execution.
  • Collaborate on developing naming opportunities and execute related installations.
  • Work with the Event team to plan and execute stewardship events.
  • Provide timely KPI reports to Foundation leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor the Donor Experience Officer.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree with 5-7 years experience in donor relations, operations, or communications in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong communication skills for donor engagement.
  • Excellent project management and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Blackbaud CRM, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fundraising experience in healthcare or academic settings is an asset.
  • Salary Range : $82,500-$87,500 . Includes merit pay and benefits such as Healthcare Ontario Pension Plan.
