We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented, process and quality-focused team player who is self-motivated and goal-driven to fill the position of Manager, Distribution based out of our Oliver, BC Production Facility / Jackson-Triggs Winery.
The Jackson-Triggs Winery is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution; operating year-round and producing some of the industry’s most awarded wines. The Role
As the Manager, Distribution, you will oversee the efficient and economical management of finished goods and component inventory, all related own/outside warehousing, and inbound/outbound transportation for Western Operations sites.
What You'll Be Doing
Distribution Center Responsibilities:
- Establish KPIs in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Inventory controls to drive operational excellence.
- Oversee storage, receiving and distribution of finished goods and components, to meet customer service levels and operations requirements.
- Oversee all pallet return programs, ensuring tracking and record keeping.
- Oversee all finished good and component waste recycling and disposal programs.
- Facilitate all finished good inventory returns.
- Support IAR (items at risk) program for finished goods and components, through identification, consolidation and timely disposal within key time frames.
- Oversee and facilitate all finished goods and component inter-warehouse logistics.
- Liaise with Sales & Customer Service to ensure optimal order fulfillment to Customers & Warehouses.
- Support daily production by picking components and staffing depalletizers, staffing finished goods palletizer, and all finished good put aways.
- Maintain and support accurate inventory control through the daily cycle count program, supporting the use of RFA Smart/inventory location control.
- Manage and direct warehouse employees, including performance management, employee relations, training, and development.
- Establish & report warehouse performance metrics (Productivity, Storage Efficiency) and conduct regular business analytics.
- Develop warehouse layout and optimize space allocation.
Distribution Responsibilities:
- Lead team to achieve customer service targets and order fulfillment.
- Manage JDA system parameters, ensuring minimal inventory without risking stockouts in owned warehouses and 3PLs.
- Oversee all business distribution activities, including management of transportation and inventory reconciliations.
- Manage replenishment activities between distribution points in the East and West, including Niagara Falls and Rougemont.
- Support DTC fulfillment for Western Canada, participating in project teams and managing inventory in DTC warehouses.
- Negotiate outbound transportation and storage contracts.
General Business Management:
- Support the development of annual budgets, performance metrics, and execute operations accordingly.
- Promote a culture of accountability, change, and continuous improvement.
- Drive initiatives to improve customer service, cost efficiencies, and operational output.
- Maintain accurate inventory movement records, including month-end closings.
- Coordinate with national logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, and WorkSafeBC regulations.
Job Requirements
- 6 years of leadership experience in warehousing and logistics.
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of order management and warehousing best practices.
- Intermediate project management capabilities.

Compensation: Budgeted Range – $101,355.00 - $131,165.00. The range considers experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is part of the total rewards package.
