Job summary

Flair Airlines Ltd. is seeking a Manager, Digital Marketing to lead planning, execution, and optimization of the company’s digital marketing programs across CRM channels, website marketing, paid media, and more.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive digital marketing experience including CRM/lifecycle marketing, ecommerce, or related field.
  • Experience leading digital marketing programs across CRM (email, mobile app push), website, paid media, and other channels.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and agencies to maximize ROI.
  • Strong analytical, segmentation, personalization, and automation skills.
  • Leadership experience and ability to coach and develop team members.

Your Team:

Join Flair’s Marketing team, where digital strategy and customer insights support commercial growth and the online customer journey. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and optimization of programs across CRM channels, including email and app push notifications, website marketing, paid media, and other digital channels. This role ensures digital initiatives support commercial priorities while driving customer engagement, conversion, and return on investment.

The Manager, Digital Marketing oversees campaign planning, channel performance, agency relationships, and marketing technology, using customer insights and performance data to guide strategy and improve results. The role provides leadership to the Performance Marketing Analyst and is accountable for paid media strategy, investment performance, and channel effectiveness. Working closely with teams across the organization and external agency partners, the Manager supports a consistent online customer experience and the continued growth of the Company’s digital channels.

This role is an on-site position based at one of our offices in Calgary, AB, Vancouver, BC, or Toronto, ON.

A Day in the Life:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of the Company's digital marketing strategy across CRM channels (email and app push notifications), website marketing, paid media, search, and other digital channels.
  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing plans that support customer acquisition, revenue growth, customer engagement, loyalty, and broader commercial objectives.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns and customer lifecycle programs, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Partner with Revenue Management, Commercial, Digital Product, E-Commerce, Customer Experience, and Analytics teams to develop digital initiatives that support promotional activity, ancillary revenue growth, customer retention, and network objectives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Performance Marketing Analyst, ensuring the successful execution and optimization of paid digital advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, and other digital media platforms.
  • Establish paid media strategy, performance objectives, and investment priorities while overseeing campaign effectiveness, budget stewardship, and return on advertising spend.
  • Manage digital marketing investments and agency partnerships, ensuring campaigns and programs deliver measurable business results and maximize return on investment.
  • Oversee CRM and customer lifecycle marketing programs, including email and app push communications, leveraging customer insights, segmentation, personalization, and automation to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Digital Product, and Customer Experience teams to leverage customer data and performance insights to optimize digital marketing effectiveness and enhance the customer journey.
  • Lead the development and execution of testing and optimization strategies, including A/B testing across CRM, website experiences, landing pages, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee website marketing initiatives and collaborate with Digital Product and E-Commerce teams to improve conversion, customer experience, content effectiveness, and digital performance.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, technology vendors, media partners, and platform providers, ensuring services and capabilities are aligned with the Company's marketing strategy and business objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate digital channel performance, identifying opportunities to improve acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Identify emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending innovative solutions that strengthen the Company's digital capabilities and competitive position.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure digital marketing initiatives support organizational priorities and deliver a consistent customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, business insights, and strategic recommendations for the Vice President, Marketing, supporting informed decision-making and continuous optimization.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Education:
    • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, CRM/lifecycle marketing, e-commerce, or a related marketing discipline, including leadership or team management experience.
    • Demonstrated experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion, and revenue growth.
    • Proven experience managing integrated digital marketing programs across CRM channels (email and mobile app push notifications), website marketing, paid media, search, and other digital channels.
    • Experience leading and developing marketing professionals, including setting priorities, providing coaching, managing performance, and supporting career development.
    • Experience overseeing paid digital advertising strategies and performance across platforms such as Google, Meta, and other digital media channels, either directly or through internal specialists and agency partners.
    • Experience managing digital marketing budgets, media investments, and marketing resources to maximize return on investment and business outcomes.
    • Experience using customer insights, digital analytics, experimentation, and performance reporting to support strategic decision-making and continuous optimization.
    • Experience leveraging customer segmentation, personalization, marketing automation, and customer journey management to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
    • Experience managing external agencies, media partners, technology vendors, and marketing platforms to deliver effective and measurable results.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Revenue Management, Digital Product, E-Commerce, Customer Experience, Analytics, and Information Technology.
    • Experience leading website marketing initiatives and partnering with Digital Product and E-Commerce teams to improve online customer experiences, conversion performance, and overall digital effectiveness.
    • Experience working with email marketing and CRM platforms, including campaign execution, audience segmentation, automated customer journeys, and performance measurement.
    • Working knowledge of HTML and email development principles, including responsive email design and template creation, is considered an asset.
    • Experience within the airline, travel, tourism, hospitality, retail, e-commerce, or another consumer-facing industry is considered an asset.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing principles, channels, and technologies, including CRM marketing (email and mobile app push notifications), website marketing, paid media, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), customer journey orchestration, and marketing automation.
    • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, personalization strategies, and marketing automation platforms used to drive customer engagement, retention, and conversion.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret customer insights, marketing performance, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate data, analytics, and customer insights into actionable marketing strategies that improve acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and return on investment.
    • Experience with marketing attribution, customer journey analysis, audience segmentation, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and digital performance measurement.
    • Strong understanding of paid digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and other digital media channels, with the ability to evaluate performance and optimize marketing investments.
    • Proficiency with web analytics and reporting platforms, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
    • Familiarity with CRM, email marketing, and customer engagement platforms, including campaign management, automated customer journeys, audience segmentation, and performance reporting.
    • Working knowledge of HTML and email development principles, including responsive email design, template creation, and email rendering best practices, is considered an asset.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills, with the ability to develop team members, set priorities, manage performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, balance competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

    • Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred.
