What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Digital Acquisition Media is responsible for setting up and continuously optimizing RBC’s acquisition media campaigns. They will manage platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook, Tableau, and others to ensure a cost-effective return on RBC’s media investments.

What will you do?

  1. Monitor campaign performance indicators (ROI, conversion rate, CPC, quality score, CTR) and enhance performance using techniques like bid strategies, ad text optimization, and landing page improvements.
  2. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve efficiency in managing paid search, display, and social campaigns.
  3. Provide updates and information to marketing managers, senior management, vendors, and other stakeholders to support campaign execution.
  4. Leverage insights from analytics, best practices, and industry innovations to address business challenges proactively.
  5. Standardize campaign setup procedures across third-party advertising tools for all social, search, and display campaigns.
  6. Guide business partners with tactical advice, share success models, and incorporate emerging technologies into campaigns.
  7. Collaborate with vendors to set up and report on campaign successes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under multiple deadlines
  • Responsibility and ownership of deliverables’ quality
  • 1-3 years of online and internet marketing experience
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns and familiarity with platforms like Google, Meta, Bing/MSN
  • Knowledge of internet best practices, usability, accessibility, privacy, and rich media
  • Highly organized self-starter capable of independent work and quick execution
  • Strong interest and knowledge in online marketing, SEO, paid search, and display marketing
  • Experience with keyword research and SEM ad copy development
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Google Analytics

Nice to have:

  • Enjoyment of research and system setup
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Understanding of third-party bid automation tools
  • Experience managing SEM campaigns successfully
  • Basic HTML skills for modifying content and layouts
  • Budget tracking experience
  • Experience with eCRM systems
