The Manager – Data Risk Oversight will be part of the Data and AI Risk team in Global Risk Management, reporting to the Director – Data Risk. The role involves supporting data risk oversight activities in Canada and globally, ensuring goals and initiatives align with business strategies. The Manager will work with senior management to identify, measure, monitor, and remediate data risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the Data Risk Program Plan in North American and international units.
  • Provide expertise on data risk controls, metrics, compliance, and mitigation strategies.
  • Enhance data risk oversight practices and develop communication strategies for new processes.
  • Build partnerships with risk functions and business units to mitigate data risks.
  • Assess design and effectiveness of data controls and support risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with RDARR and BCBS 239 principles.
  • Maintain documentation and prepare reports for senior management and boards.
  • Identify, escalate, and report risks or issues appropriately.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance team environment.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
  • 5+ years in data management, governance, risk management, compliance, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices and regulations such as BCBS 239.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
