Why this role is important?
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager to lead and optimize our data infrastructure and analytics processes. You will oversee the end-to-end management of data operations that provide the foundation to unlocking deeper insights, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing program and specialty pharmacy performance. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring foundational data capabilities and data-driven strategies are seamlessly integrated into operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of analysts and data engineers while fostering collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Act as the key SME for SHN and enterprise data sources with an understanding of how these systems interact with our operational processes and capture data.
- Maintain existing data pipelines and workflows of disparate datasets from multiple sources to ensure availability and usability for downstream users.
- Collaborate with key technical stakeholders to optimize and evolve these data pipelines to ensure efficiency and alignment with enterprise-standard up-to-date technology.
- Guide the maintenance and ongoing development of the CRM / data repositories and Data Mining solutions as key foundational elements for the development and deployment of a suite of functional dashboards and data solutions to drive internal performance management.
- Drive improvements in data quality management through rigorous governance practices and automated validation frameworks to ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data.
- Share insights and recommendations on technical and data initiatives to senior leadership and partners in clear business terms.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in big data, cloud technologies, and AI to continuously enhance analytics capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-5 years of data and analytics experience, preferably within the healthcare industry and preferably in a leadership capacity.
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in a numerate or analytical discipline such as Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Expertise in database management systems and how to leverage them (eg. SQL).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R to perform efficient data analysis and automation.
- Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience with CRM platforms (eg. Salesforce) and cloud-based solutions (eg. GCP).
- Experience managing large-scale datasets from diverse sources while ensuring their integrity and usability for analysis.
- Proven ability to design data models and data solutions and oversee their development and deployment into production.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic thinking abilities combined with a hands-on approach when needed to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success of presenting technical solutions and findings to senior leadership and business partners.
