Job Description
We are looking for a strategic Technical Manager to be responsible for end-to-end oversight and execution of Enterprise Risk Data and Analytics solutions within the Data, Intelligence & Automation (DI&A) team! The candidate will play a key role in ensuring that our Data & Analytics solutions meet standards while delivering significant business value. The Manager will oversee capacity teams, may lead individual contributors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and career development conversations. The manager will implement the technical roadmap aligned with the product groups' business strategy.

Applies data governance standard methodologies in developing the overall data architecture strategy and crafting and maintaining standard processes for data provisioning and data integration. Responsible for leading operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets. Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the TPO for Technical, Risk & Operations (TOR) D,I&A products and platforms, driving the execution of the technology roadmap to meet business needs; in partnership with Data Enablement & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence/Intelligent Automation chapters.
  • Advocate for the integration of Data & Analytics standard methodologies, ensuring alignment with the strategic TO&R business objectives.
  • Build positive relationships across Risk, Product Groups, Technical Quality, Technical Services, and prioritize features and own the delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Drive the development process by converting high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications in collaboration with business partners, data engineers, and development teams.
  • Coordinate platform performance metrics, identify areas for strategic improvement, and recommend enhancements to support informed decision-making and improve user experience.
  • Lead regular customer reviews, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), to collect feedback and iterate on product capabilities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics, continuously evaluating new technologies for potential integration.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio information across Nexus, Asset Management Tool, Lean IX, ITSM, and IAM systems.

Education
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree experience.

Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years passionate about delivering impactful Data & Analytics capabilities.
  • Consistent record in digital product management, especially in Data & Analytics, with strong analytical skills for data evaluation and strategic decision-making.
  • Understanding of quality management processes and systems, particularly within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, engaging customers at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Agile and SDLC methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) is meaningful.
  • Knowledge of technologies, including MS Azure and Databricks, as well as visualization and reporting tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Experience in CDL or EDW within Johnson & Johnson is highly preferred.
  • Background in SC, HCC, E&PS, GBP, Global Security, EHS and other risk functions is considered a strong asset.
  • Confirmed ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced and multifaceted environment.
  • Must have the ability to influence and lead senior leadership teams.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
$100,000- $172,500

Additional Description For Pay Transparency
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year.
