We are seeking an experienced and visionary Manager, Data & AI Engineering to lead our critical Data Engineering function. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, development, and delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality data solutions across our core platforms (Policy, Claims, Billing). You will balance rapid innovation with long-term architectural stability, ensuring our data ecosystem empowers advanced analytics, machine learning, and critical business insights.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Leadership :
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for our scalable data solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business and AI strategies.
  • Lead the creation and evolution of our Cloud Data Platform strategy, vision, and framework.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data ingestion, curation, consumption insights, and overall data governance practices.
  • Drive Data products vision and translates it into tangible business value
  • Team & Talent Development :
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing, distributed Data Engineering team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture.
  • Manage team performance, development plans, and career progression, building a strong, cohesive unit.
  • Technical Oversight & Delivery :
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex data programs and pipelines using Big query ,Spark, PySpark, ETL tools, and other big data technologies.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and timely data products that meet critical business requirements for Policy, Claims, and Billing.
  • Champion best practices in code quality, documentation, and data architecture within the team.
  • Cross-functional Partnership :
  • Collaborate closely with product leaders, Data Scientists, and other engineering and business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into technical solutions.
  • Regularly align on project commitments, priorities, and strategic initiatives to ensure successful execution.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving :
  • Incubate new technologies and methodologies within the Big Data and AI ecosystem, sharing professional perspectives and guiding adoption.
  • Act as a strong problem-solver, adept at navigating complex data challenges and proposing pragmatic solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience & Leadership :
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in Big Data and Data Analytics, with a strong focus on engineering scalable data solutions.
  • 2+ years of proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing data engineering or technology teams, including a track record of fostering talent in a multicultural distributed environment.
  • Technical Acumen :
  • Deep hands-on expertise with big data systems and experience in processing structured and unstructured Data
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python and extensive experience with Databricks or similar data platforms.
  • Solid experience with ETL tools (Big query , Databricks, snowflake,Dataflow ), stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka / PubSub), and scheduling tools(CNTRLM, Airflow).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP experience preferred) and a passion for cloud-native data architectures.
  • Familiarity with incident management process , intake , estimation process

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a track record of tackling complex data challenges and delivering practical, impactful solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and aligning diverse teams.
  • A natural leader who fosters an inclusive environment, empowers team members, and drives a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
