A Day in the Life:

This position is responsible for achieving business results by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within an assigned market area. The role combines facility operations, grain procurement, customer service, and team leadership to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and business growth.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Manage and operate a high-volume grain handling facility while conducting business development activities within the assigned market area.
  • Serve as a team leader for designated grain handling facilities on a rotational basis.
  • Achieve facility financial, operational, and customer service objectives.
  • Provide customers with grain marketing insights and support on-farm production decisions.
  • Maintain and analyze customer records, market information, and business trends.
  • Identify business opportunities and recommend programs and services to support growth.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide input on marketing strategies and programs.
  • Purchase grain and negotiate contracts within established authority levels.
  • Coordinate grain movement, logistics, and farm supply activities.
  • Maintain facility housekeeping, maintenance, and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, security, and business process requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, producers, truckers, agribusiness partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop employees to support performance and engagement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development activities.
  • Participate in recruitment, promotion, and employee management processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with market area team members to achieve regional goals.
  • Represent the organization through customer, industry, and community engagement activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, supplemented by an Agri-Business Certificate or equivalent post‑secondary education.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agribusiness, grain handling, grain marketing, or a related customer service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of grain handling operations, grain procurement, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
