Job summary

GFL Environmental Services Inc. in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting to lead IFRS-compliant close processes and multi-entity consolidations. This on-site role reports to the Corporate Controller and governs journal entries, reconciliations, and external reporting.

The successful candidate will manage lease accounting under IFRS 16, assist with acquisition accounting, and drive IFRS 18 rollout while coordinating with auditors and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation.
• Minimum 5 years of corporate accounting/finance experience with IFRS.
• Strong experience with IFRS 16 and multi-entity consolidations.
• Proven ability to review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Lead first-line review of multi-entity consolidations and cash flow statements.
• Oversee IFRS 16 lease accounting and central repository maintenance.
• Coordinate external audits and support for financial statements.
• Develop and improve internal controls and SOPs for the close process.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on close deliverables.
