Manager – Corporate Events
The Manager – Corporate Events is responsible for developing, managing, and successfully executing results-focused event planning and management for all corporate events including but not limited to internal conferences, tradeshows, and career fairs.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Developing, managing, implementing, and evaluating internal meetings and events for stakeholders.
- Collaborating within the Marketing and Omni-Channel Growth team to develop effective communications and design materials as well as promoting and supporting logistics and brand of meetings and events.
- Providing consultation to senior and executive leaders for presentation content and effectiveness.
- Consulting with senior and executive leaders for current events appetite, making recommendations for best practices based on expertise.
- Managing relationships with vendors, organizers, and attendees.
- Leading and ensuring the success of all aspects of event execution.
- Creating programs and events to maximize participation and engagement.
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to ensure the best pricing, facilitation, and attendee experience.
- Constructing and executing virtual meetings and events environments using web-based events platforms including organizing, collaborating, facilitating, troubleshooting, and emceeing.
- Delegating and managing the outsourcing of event project tasks to internal team members.
- Conducting and analyzing a post-mortem on all meetings and events, gathering feedback on event outcomes and effectiveness for future considerations to share with stakeholders and executives.
- Analyzing historical budgets and performance to create accurate forecasting for an elevated and inclusive experience to meet the growing and changing needs of the organization.
- Creating and getting approval for an annual budget exceeding $1 million and ensuring cost accountability, approval, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Creating communications plans to effectively manage and delegate/outsource the requirements of each event, internally or externally as appropriate.

- Proven experience planning large scale events across multiple provinces.
- Professional experience engaging with all levels of the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Proven experience executing large scale presentations.
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
- Attention to detail, budgets, business awareness, decision making.
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 per year
