The Contracts Manager is responsible for leading Enterprise procurement’s contract management team, overseeing contract negotiations, reviews, and lifecycle management across the enterprise. This role ensures contracts meet corporate policies, legal requirements, and OSFI regulatory expectations, especially in areas such as third-party risk, cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational resilience.
How you will create impact :
- Lead a team of contract specialists on all contractual and regulatory obligations.
- Manage the enterprise procurement contract repository to ensure all contracts are captured, tracked, and renewal/expiry dates are acted upon.
- Provide contractual guidance to the enterprise procurement sourcing team and business units, acting as a subject matter expert and providing authoritative guidance aligned with OSFI B-10, B-13, and E-21 guidelines.
- Maintain contract compliance, renewals, and performance; lead regular reviews of critical and high-risk third-party arrangements.
- Maintain contract templates, clause library, and other standard forms in collaboration with the legal department.
- Ensure accurate records in the contract management system and audit readiness.
- Assist in educating employees on the proper use of policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing education on contract risks, template changes, and regulatory updates to the procurement team and stakeholders.
- Review, revise, and establish KPIs and SLAs for the contract management team.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including vendor agreements, SaaS/cloud services, professional services, NDAs, licensing, and outsourcing arrangements.
- Manage the contract lifecycle process, ensuring alignment with OSFI B-10 requirements, including risk assessments, exit strategies, performance monitoring, and security clauses.
- Collaborate with business areas, subject matter experts, and external vendors to ensure contract quality before legal review.
- Lead development and delivery of training on contract risk mitigation and lifecycle policies.

To join our team :
- A post-secondary degree in business, law, or related field, with Bar certification preferred, and 7 years of contract management experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience with business law, contracting principles, and industry-specific regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
- Excellent understanding of legal, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally with legal, risk, and business stakeholders.
- Expertise in contract structures, language, and governing law.
- Broad understanding of policies, controls, and regulatory requirements specific to the financial and insurance industries.
