The Opportunity
Douglas College is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Manager, Contract Administration to lead the development and implementation of contract risk management programs, policies, and training. This role provides oversight and guidance for all non-employment contracts, including service agreements, MOUs, student placement agreements, software licenses, and more. To be successful in this role you will need:
- Established professional credibility as evidenced by a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related area of study.
- A minimum of five years’ progressively senior commercial contract management and risk management experience in an environment of similar scope and complexity.
- Progressive supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized, public sector environment.
- Demonstrated training experience and current knowledge of issues, regulations and best practices in the areas of contract administration and enterprise risk management.
- Or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of:

- Ability to effectively work under pressure, using excellent organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail to produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise critical thinking, independent judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to model appropriate professional, ethical and collaborative behaviours consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
- Demonstrated abilities that align with the Douglas College Core Competency Framework.
Regular hours of work are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
