As a CF34/CFM56 Business Unit Configuration Information Manager, you will lead the maintenance, improvement and training of mission critical technical configuration control and related information systems used in production. You will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant OEM and StandardAero technical product data is integrated into our configuration control system in a timely manner. You will coordinate requests for improvements to technical configuration control data, while coordinating with the central systems applications group to define requirements, and ensure system changes are incorporated and training is deployed to all affected users.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the Configuration Management team to ensure the effective, accurate, and timely implementation of product configuration data.
  • Coordinate with OEM suppliers of configuration data to ensure latest information is integrated into StandardAero systems.
  • Ensure all StandardAero generated technical data is controlled and distributed to the appropriate users.
  • Control the user base of controlled technical data and related business systems.
  • Manage and ensure data integrity of technical configuration control systems including Power BI, SQL tables, etc.
  • Develop informational literature and user manuals and assist in the development of training material for technology-based or other business solutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on technical configuration control and related production business applications.
  • Provide training on new and existing technical configuration control and related applications; functionally manage on-the-job training activities for these applications.
  • Participate in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
  • Interact with the business unit strategic groups to select, manage, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor quality and efficiency within the business using data (FAI, Doc Tracking, PQC) for improvement opportunities across the business unit from a direct and support point of view.
  • Support the Quality function with related quality assurance activities to ensure compliance and integrity of the Quality System (e.g. Records Management).
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.

The Skills you will use:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Computer Science; recognized professional accounting designation; or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of technical product configuration control requirements and related business systems.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office application environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000/AS9110 quality management system standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of business process improvement methodologies (CI, Lean, Redesign, etc.)
  • Experience in systems analysis or business applications development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, or airline maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policy manuals, work instructions, company processes and other internal procedures.
  • Familiarity with SBU products and supporting technical publications.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems (SA Menu).
