Manager, Complex Financial Instrument Valuations

Make an impact with our Financial Instrument Valuations team as a Manager, working with clients on valuation and financial risk management, applying quantitative techniques to measure transaction values and risks. Provide independent, reliable services to help clients achieve strategic goals and make confident, value-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for credit risk modelling, including ECL, CECL, credit adjudication, and credit risk capital areas.
  • Lead interactions with client management, stakeholders, legal counsel, and external auditors.
  • Design and develop high-quality deliverables such as valuation reports and internal memos for audit support.
  • Manage engagement planning, scheduling, project financials, budgets, and billing.
  • Identify innovative ways to deliver value to clients and foster relationship growth.
  • Maintain high quality control, addressing issues or risks relevant to the client’s business.
  • Network locally, explore business development opportunities, and lead proposal preparations.
  • Develop strategic plans to expand the valuation practice regionally.
  • Mentor and coach team members, set expectations, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years in credit risk modelling, with experience in financial risk management.
  • Experience in business development and practice growth.
  • Proven leadership, relationship-building, and management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Strong writing skills.
