Position Details:

  • One (1) Non-Unionized, Permanent Full-Time Position
  • Location: 11 MACEY AVE.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Compensation: $39.40/hour - $45.89/hour

Cota is an accredited not-for-profit organization providing community-based support to individuals with mental health and cognitive challenges for over 50 years. We support over 4,000 people annually through services like case management, supportive housing, and adult day programs. More info at cotainspires.ca.

Role Overview:

The Manager, Community Health Services, leads the development and delivery of client and family-centered services, ensuring safety and quality improvement. This role manages onsite support services at our 11 Macey Ave. program, including 56 housing units for individuals exiting chronic homelessness, providing 24/7 onsite supports and meal programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and oversight rooted in Recovery, Housing First, Harm Reduction, and Anti-Oppression principles.
  • Collaborating with leadership on program development and quality improvement.
  • Building partnerships with housing operators and supporting tenants to maintain housing stability and community integration.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Staff recruitment, training, supervision, and support.
  • Developing and maintaining external partnerships.
  • Data collection, analysis, and quality initiatives.
  • Managing budgets, staff performance, and program standards.
  • Participating in leadership teams and organizational activities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in a related health or social service field; professional registration an asset.
  • Experience in staff supervision, partnership building, and working in unionized environments preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory or program management experience with interdisciplinary teams.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Intensive Case Management, evidence-based mental health practices, and cultural competence.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, and data evaluation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility for varied work hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Participation in Manager-On-Call system.

Benefits:

After three months, eligible staff receive benefits including health, dental, life insurance, and more. Participation in long-term disability insurance is mandatory for staff working over 20 hours/week.
