As the Manager, Brand & Communications, you will lead a team that drives value for FCT through creative activities that make FCT stand out in the marketplace. You will also build and execute on the enterprise brand marketing strategy while ensuring alignment with FCT’s corporate values and mission. The role will be responsible for the execution and tracking of marketing communication campaigns and ensuring they are completed accurately, on time and within budget. This may entail the management and sourcing of sponsorships and partnerships as well as external vendors and agencies. This role will be expected to coordinate and work closely with cross functional teams including executives, sales, business divisions and operations. Critical to the success of this role will be the ability to deliver consistent and thorough communications that drive awareness of the FCT enterprise brand. The role will provide regular and timely updates on the status of tactics, deliverables, and the go-to-market plan to all key stakeholders. This role will be required to execute on our brand strategically and tactically.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Support day-to-day activities with media monitoring, media hits newsletter and daily morning briefing.

  • Research, write, edit, and distribute press releases.

  • Manage project deliverables, ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner.

  • Monitor, maintain and respond to public media inquiries.

  • Develop and maintain the external brand communications editorial calendar mapped to external communications objectives.

  • Maintain editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.

  • Work with Director, Marketing to implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and executive profiling.

  • Plan, execute and attend conferences and events.

  • Create presentations, communications plans, corporate communications materials, media releases and event kits.

  • Manage and assist with community events.

  • Manage corporate event sponsorships.

  • Work with PR agency to maintain positive brand presence.

  • Develop and maintain crisis communication plan.

  • Work with key team members to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.

  • Support and evaluate results of campaigns and events with the team.

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external stakeholders.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Minimum 10 years Marketing experience preferably in financial services (banking or insurance).

  • At least 5 to 7 years of related work experience.

  • Marketing and communications knowledge focusing on innovative approaches in the marketplace.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, English, a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).

  • Social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube).

  • Media monitoring/PR analytics software (Meltwater, Sprout Social).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment.

  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly.
