At Santis Health, we don’t just consult on health care – we partner with those bold enough to transform. We’ve built an unstoppable team from coast-to-coast, and now we’re looking for a Manager, Communications.

The ideal candidate is ambitious, autonomous, professional and eager to help turn ideas into action. As a member of our growing Communications team, you won’t just be watching the health care landscape change; you’ll be helping us shape it. This hybrid role (open to candidates across Ontario) requires an ambitious, motivated individual with a passion for communications and strong levels of accountability and integrity. As a key member of the Santis Communications Practice, the Manager will work closely with the team to build and deliver communications solutions.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Acting as senior lead on client accounts by drafting and executing strategic communications plans, with a focus on strategy, creative thinking and results based outcomes.
  • Overseeing the execution of client deliverables, including timelines, resource coordination, and budgets.
  • Leading project teams and acting as a role model and mentor to junior team members.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with health system clients, including digital health companies, med tech, hospitals, long-term care providers, Associations, and home care organizations.
  • Building trust and credibility with clients through proactive problem‑solving, accountability and high‑quality deliverables.
  • Providing strategic communications counsel in areas such as media relations, stakeholder engagement, corporate communications and crisis management.
  • Leading new business development activities, including proposal writing and pitches.
  • Flagging risks and opportunities for the senior management team, and utilizing data‑driven insights to develop recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Consulting or agency experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Proven success at developing and managing communications strategies across multiple channels.
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with leadership, clients, and stakeholders while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian health care system and emerging healthcare trends, and experience working with hospitals, long‑term care homes, or home care organizations.
  • Strong people and project management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, capable of synthesizing complex information into clear, concise messaging for diverse stakeholders across multiple channels.
A Great Candidate Would Have a Combination of These Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational skills – ability to juggle multiple clients and projects and competing deadlines on a daily basis.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (including G‑Suite proficiency).
  • A strong bias for action; eager to champion new programs, processes, or technologies, such as leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows, to move the practice forward.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, particularly on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to independently drive client projects forward while proactively identifying and addressing needs.
  • Professionalism and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
