Job Description

A career as a Manager, Commercial Banking in the Commercial Banking team at National Bank involves acting as a lead to achieve strategic business development objectives. The goal is to build and maintain a high-value portfolio of large, diversified commercial clients, typically with loans and deposits over $2MM - $10MM+ in a geographic market, managing a portfolio exceeding $100MM. The role includes working closely with product partners to develop suitable products to tap market opportunities and leading all aspects of risk-reward parameters within acceptable levels to achieve optimal business performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Client experience: Deliver outstanding client experiences at every interaction, providing full-service solutions to become each client's primary financial partner.
  2. Sales activation & business growth: Create and implement marketing plans to achieve sales and growth targets, undertake sales activities to meet loan, deposit, and cash management objectives, negotiate for profitability, and generate leads and referrals.
  3. Credit risk management: Collaborate with the credit team to assess risks and implement measures balancing risk and reward within NBC's risk appetite.

Within the Commercial Banking sector, you will be part of a team of professionals reporting to the Assistant Vice President and Manager of Business Banking Services. Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in commerce, finance, or accounting, with approximately six years of commercial lending experience.
  • Proven skills in developing and executing successful sales strategies collaboratively.
  • Expertise in improving sales processes and programs.
  • Strong foundation in business modeling and computer skills are highly beneficial.
