Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

The Manager, Cloud Engineering and Operations will lead a team of senior technical professionals responsible for the engineering and operations of Moneris’ Cloud infrastructure.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Director, Cloud Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for daily operations and 24/7 support of Moneris’ Cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain Cloud infrastructure technologies and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Grow and develop talent to help create high-performing teams and collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values.
  • Advocate and advance modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to drive change across development and infrastructure teams.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • 5+ years of managerial experience in leading Cloud engineering, Cloud Operations, or DevOps/SRE support teams.
  • Experience implementing and using Infrastructure as Code (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, K8S, Terraform, Ansible).
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and make an impact in a cross-functional environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in software development or computer engineering required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is an asset.
