Position Information

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a Manager, Clinical Services to join our team. This role involves overseeing clinical services within the Maternal Newborn Care and Women's Health & Gynecology departments. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, leading a corporate team, and collaborating with various departments to enhance service delivery and excellence within the Shirley E Greenberg Women's Health Centre and Obstetrical/Pelvic Ultrasound teams.

The Manager, Clinical Services provides effective and efficient delivery of clinical services to the patient population through the management of a multidisciplinary health care team. In addition, this position fosters opportunities for professional development/growth of staff within their department.

The Manager, Clinical Services promotes the delivery of evidence-based practice for clinical interventions through utilization of available research/research development and evaluation. This position will also foster an environment of interdisciplinary cooperation within the clinical program, in which they are consistent with a just culture and the values of The Ottawa Hospital.

What You Will Bring

• Baccalaureate Degree in a Health Profession, Health Administration or a related field;
• Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience in diverse positions in an acute care hospital setting;
• Registered Health Professional eligible to practice in Ontario;
• Progressive leadership experience;
• Strong leadership skills to support and provide direction to staff in a highly stressful and rapidly changing environment;
• Proven ability in working effectively with all members of health care team;
• Excellent oral/written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills;
• Knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze fiscal patient care data;
• Knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures, relative legislation, collective agreements and standards of practices;
• Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient care;
• Knowledge and application of financial stewardship;
• Knowledge and application of various technologies;
• Ability to maintain a high level of concentration in a busy working environment.

You will stand out with:

• Master's Degree in a Management, Nursing or Administration related program;
• Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
