Qualifications

Salary Range:$62.77 - 74.73

Position Overview

Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) will be undergoing significant digital transformation, under the Project Quantum brand, by joining an existing instance of the Oracle Health HIS currently being used to deliver exceptional care at Grand River Hospital (GRH) and St. Mary’s General Hospital (SMGH).

Reporting to the CMH Director, Professional Practice and Clinical Informatics, the Manager, Clinical Informatics will support the implementation of the Oracle Health HIS at CMH. This role is integral to ensuring the successful adoption, optimization, and integration of the HIS within clinical operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of clinical informatics specialists and collaborate with interdisciplinary stakeholders to drive digital transformation and enhance patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Implementation

  • Lead the clinical informatics team in the deployment, training, and optimization of the local Oracle Health instance.
  • Act as a key liaison between clinical staff, IT teams, regional and vendor partners to ensure system alignment with clinical workflows and best practices.
  • Oversee change management initiatives to promote system adoption among healthcare providers.
  • Ensure HIS implementation aligns with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies.
  • Support system testing, validation, and go-live readiness activities.
  • Monitor post-implementation stabilization and optimization efforts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

  • Engage with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative leaders to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed.
  • Develop and deliver HIS training programs tailored to various clinical user groups.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to ensure successful HIS adoption.

Data & Performance Monitoring

  • Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess HIS adoption and impact on clinical workflows.
  • Identify areas for system enhancements and collaborate with IT, regional partners, and vendor teams to implement improvements.
  • Ensure data integrity, clinical documentation standards, and compliance with privacy regulations.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor a team of clinical informatics specialists and trainers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Manage resource allocation and project timelines effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Allied Health, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Current professional licensure in a regulated health profession (e.g., RN, RRT, PT, OT) is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical informatics, digital health, or HIS implementation projects.
  • Certification in Health Informatics (e.g., CPHIMS-CA), Project Management (e.g., PMP), and Change Management (e.g., PROSCI) is an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of HIS, EHR, and clinical decision support systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and driving digital health transformation.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex healthcare environments and engage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate training and change management.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, clinical workflow optimization, and process improvement methodologies.

Employment Details

Contract Type and Duration: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week) for 18 months

Location: Cambridge Memorial Hospital

Working Arrangement: This role will primarily be on-site with some remote work opportunities based on team structure and activities
