Job description

We are currently seeking a qualified Client Solutions - Manager to join our Mining team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Manager - Client Solutions will be responsible for managing business development activities for the Bantrel mining business in the Canadian market. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Client Solutions, the role includes ongoing interface with Bechtel Mining and Metals to support North American business development. Join us in this full-time, permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to Bantrel’s Strategy Framework process, including market, client, and competitor analysis across Canada.
  2. Maintain relationships with major competitors, contractors, suppliers, and industry associations to gain insights into their activities, marketing, customer focus, products, and strategic initiatives, developing regional and national analyses and market trends.
  3. Represent and promote Bantrel throughout the industry to build and sustain relationships and brand recognition.
  4. Collaborate with the Mining General Manager to develop and execute strategies for market development and penetration supporting business plans.
  5. Oversee proposal development and the response process.
  6. Manage the pursuit risk process, including collaboration with Bantrel legal and project management during prime contract review.
  7. Participate in prime contract negotiations and project handover to execution teams.
  8. Lead the commercial strategy for pursuits.
  9. Coordinate regularly with Bechtel Global Business Unit (GBU) to develop attractive offerings for customers in pursuit of shared markets.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree in Engineering or Construction; engineering in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • 8+ years of industry experience in project execution, operations, or business development roles within an EPC/EPCM organization.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, economic, and business issues related to the industry and local markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels, including clients, senior leaders, and frontline employees.
