Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, Change Management - Global AML to lead change management and communications globally for Global AML and Global Case Manager. You will collaborate with product, solutions, and incident teams, coordinate change events, and ensure alignment with risk and regulatory requirements.

You will guide a team, leverage learning and development resources, and coach staff while delivering targeted communications and training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in training and/or communications.
  • ProSci Change Management certificate is a nice to have.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate change management and communication activities globally for Global AML and Global Case Manager.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, project management teams and subject matter experts to ensure a strong solution and on-time delivery.
  • Design, develop and manage change events, communications, SharePoint pages and channels.
  • Monitor progress, report on activities, and recommend actions to Sr. Manager/Director.
  • Develop standardized user content and communications with SMEs and Learning & Development.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Change Management, the Manager, Change Management oversees, and coordinates change management and communication activities globally for our Global Case Manager and assists in Change management activities for Global AML. The role partners with business stakeholders, project management teams and subject matter experts to ensure a strong solution is achieved and project timelines are met.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge through our Change Management Framework.
  • Oversee the execution of our Change Management Framework strategy for Global AML and Global Case Manager.
  • Work closely with Product, Solutions, and Incident teams and other key stakeholders to identify needs, design, and development, manage and execute Global change management activities/events including support of change champion programs, communications, SharePoint pages and channels.
  • Monitor change management programs progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, providing progress reports, and recommending actions to Sr. Manager/Director
  • Work with the subject matter experts (internal, external, industry), our business line partners, and/or Global Learning and Development to acquire or develop and maintain standardized Functional Global Case Manager user content and other communications.
  • Provide additional support to the Sr. Manager on wider projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Proactively address issues for emerging change management gaps and provide executable solutions
  • Develop/aid in the preparation of presentations to leadership
  • Coach and develop direct reports through regular feedback, performance management, and individualized development planning to build capability and support career growth
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Management or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in training and/or communications
  • Excellent written and verbal skills required to prepare communications and interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • Ability to interact effectively with business teams, collaborate with subject matter experts, gather requirements and develop solutions
  • Strong knowledge of AML policies, procedures, and processes, including internal control principles
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis and instructional design mythologies
  • Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential
  • Strong organizational, project management to meet deadlines and accurately estimate time required for deliverables and planning skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank's interactive systems including Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Results oriented, highly motivated with a keen ability to influence others.
  • Self-reliant and pro-active approach to work
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to demonstrate highly developed facilitation and presentation skills
