Position: Manager, Category Management – Beverages, TH, CA

Category Management is a core business function responsible for the long-term growth and health of major segments of the Tim Hortons menu and guest experience, measured in sales, profitability, and market share.

The Category Manager for Beverages will set an ambitious vision, serving as one of the company's most influential leaders for the largest category at Tim Hortons. This role involves aligning and coordinating strategy across teams like Product Innovation, Marketing, Restaurant Operations, Digital and Technology, among others, to capitalize on major opportunities.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Category Management – Beverages, TH, CA.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop a long-term Sales and Market Share strategy for Beverages, synthesizing data from various sources, including custom research, to build a 3- to 5-year plan for market leadership.
  • Identify and execute opportunities beyond product development, including pricing, promotion, and placement strategies to create competitive advantages.
  • Balance menu size and complexity to maintain a sustainable assortment, including strategic discontinuation of products or lines.
  • Lead and champion the plan among diverse stakeholders, building business cases to gain support from senior leadership, franchisees, and external partners.
  • Foster collaboration across departments, integrating data-driven insights into a unified growth plan.
  • Craft campaign briefs for marketing agencies to inform creative campaigns tailored to specific consumer segments across various channels.
  • Analyze results to uncover insights, identify risks and opportunities, and build performance narratives for cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with teams for rapid response and optimization to address emerging risks, market challenges, or competitive activities.
About You:
  • Post-secondary degree.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in product/portfolio/brand strategy, analytics, management consulting, or similar; management experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills to address business challenges.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to align and support stakeholders.
  • Storytelling and presentation skills to leverage data and insights compellingly.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL and/or Python is preferred.
  • Experience in marketing campaign planning and execution is a plus.
  • Motivated, strategic thinker with creative instincts and leadership qualities.
