Job summary

Desjardins is recruiting for a senior management role focused on leading a large subset of sales or operations activities and supporting the administrative department's strategic orientations. The role emphasizes talent development, performance management, and delivering member/client satisfaction.

You will define and drive the unit's action plan, build effective teams, and ensure projects are carried through to maximize business results while representing the organization in key stakeholder

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • PMI Certification is required/preferred.
  • Nine years of relevant experience with five in management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the immediate supervisor by helping with work organization, operational planning and special initiatives.
  • Develop, implement and track the unit’s action plan aligned with strategic orientations.
  • Establish management and communication practices supporting change management and talent development.
  • Define activities related to the unit’s services and ensure projects reach targeted results.
  • Support the administrative unit’s action plan by managing performance.
  • Continuously improve processes under your responsibility.
  • Promote Desjardins Group’s cooperative values.
  • Represent the organization and conduct business intelligence.

Job description

Your role involves using your ability to make quality decisions and build effective teams to manage a large subset of sales or operations activities or a support sub-function that offers specialized services to the sector. You are responsible for administrating your group’s service offer, developing and implementing its business plan, and overseeing activities supporting the administrative department’s strategic orientations. With an ability to develop talent and drive results, you are able to effectively manage people and performance, produce reports and ensure member/client satisfaction. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Support the immediate supervisor by helping with work organization, operational planning and special initiatives
  • Develop, implement and track the unit’s action plan, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic orientations and other administrative units, in a performance management context
  • Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement, and diversity in keeping with Desjardins values
  • Define and ensure the implementation of activities related to the unit’s services and ensure entrusted projects are carried through so as to maximize targeted business results and ensure member and client satisfaction
  • Support the administrative unit’s action plan by successfully managing individual and team performance
  • Continuously improve the management of processes under your responsibility
  • Promote Desjardins Group’s cooperative values
  • Represent the organization and conduct business intelligence

What you bring to the table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of nine years of relevant experience, including five years in a management role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • PMI Certification
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
