Job description

Overview

The Business Operations & Performance Manager leads sales analytics, contract management, and provides forecasting and commercial operations support across Quarterhill’s Safety and Enforcement division. This role owns the integrity, reconciliation, and reporting of sales, pipeline, and revenue data across CRM, ERP, and internal systems, ensuring a consistent and reliable view of business performance. As a key partner to Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Legal, the role delivers timely, actionable insights to support decision‑making. It also supports contract bid coordination, reviews commercial agreements for risk and compliance, and contributes to overall contract governance. This position combines strategic analysis with hands‑on execution—managing reporting cycles, validating and challenging inputs, resolving data discrepancies, and driving accountability for data quality. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and financial capabilities, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities while constructively challenging assumptions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze key business performance indicators, including sales, revenue trends, pipeline health, and operational metrics.
  • Reconcile and validate data across CRM, ERP, and internal systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Deliver actionable insights to support decision‑making and improve business performance.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting processes, ensuring strong data governance and integrity.
Executive Reporting & Forecasting
  • Support executive and Board reporting with accurate, timely performance insights.
  • Support sales and revenue forecasting, including analysis of pipeline activity and forecast accuracy.
  • Consolidate, reconcile, and validate data across CRM, ERP, and other reporting systems.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional inputs and maintain reporting timelines and data integrity.
Contract Management & Commercial Support
  • Review contracts, amendments, and commercial agreements to identify operational, financial, and legal risks.
  • Prepare clear contract summaries and recommendations for leadership review.
  • Support and coordinate bid submissions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations) to support contract execution and governance.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Legal teams to support reporting and commercial activities.
  • Drive accountability for data quality, forecasting inputs, and commercial deliverables across teams.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decision‑making.

This list of responsibilities might not cover everything you’ll end up doing.
