Title: Manager, Business Investment & Insights

The Manager, Business Investments is responsible for oversight of the financial management and governance for Canadian Banking and Global Wealth Management’s investment spend. Key responsibilities of the mandate include:

  1. Managing financial reporting and continuously improving financial intelligence and providing insightful financial analysis and recommendations.
  2. Governance of initiatives through the investment lifecycle to support decision making by senior and executive management and key stakeholders within and outside the Division.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Publish monthly & quarterly financial results and work with key stakeholders to continuously understand upcoming areas of spend / investment need, within affordability.
  • Maintain processes to meet / exceed all project governance standards as developed by the Divisional and Executive Project Management Offices and audit.
  • Continuously challenge existing processes and standards within and outside the team.
  • Drive a customer focused culture to deepen relationships across the Bank.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests as required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree (preferably MBA, or finance/business).
  • Background in financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Minimum of 5 years of banking experience.
  • Knowledge of the banking industry in Canadian Banking and Global Wealth Management Divisions.
  • Very strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office Applications Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project/investment tracking & CA PPM reporting tool is an asset.
