Role Overview – IT Business Solutions Engagement Manager – Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Solutions Engagement Manager to bridge the gap between our Marketing and IT Solutions teams. In this role, you will lead cross-functional efforts to deliver innovative, technology-driven solutions that optimize marketing strategies and business outcomes. Your ability to communicate effectively, align stakeholders, and manage projects from concept to execution will be essential to success. Additionally, you will manage business requests and serve as a trusted advisor for technical solutions, ensuring that requests align with business goals, priorities, and timing to achieve maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing and IT Solutions teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
  • Represent IT teams in discussions and decisions to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Act as a Marketing business partner, collaborating closely with marketing teams to understand their goals, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify, prioritize, and define technical solutions that address business needs and marketing objectives.
  • Manage business requests from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and resource availability.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on technical solutions to ensure they align with business goals and are implemented at the right time for maximum impact.
  • Support the director in meetings by providing insights, updates, and expert advice on Marketing IT solutions and strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Marketing IT strategies, driving the adoption of innovative technologies and tools to improve outcomes.
  • Assist requirements gathering sessions (as needed), translating business needs into technical specifications, and ensure clear documentation throughout.
  • Oversee project lifecycles, from ideation and planning through execution, delivery, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within Marketing IT solutions.
  • Develop and mentor a Senior Business Analyst, creating a success planning framework to enhance long-term efficiency and team growth.
  • Coach and mentor the team to be results-driven while fostering career development and encouraging professional growth.
  • Support foundational projects, ensuring risks are proactively raised and mitigated while keeping the project on track.
  • Motivate and inspire project teams through challenging cycles, maintaining momentum and focus to achieve the end goal successfully. Celebrate team successes to foster motivation and collaboration.
  • Create and maintain roadmaps, utilizing capability assessments to ensure the right people, data, processes, and technology enable and execute the roadmap effectively.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to anticipate future needs and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to marketing teams, empowering them to leverage IT tools and solutions effectively.

What you have to offer:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science.
  • IIBA qualification or at least 5 years BA experience.
  • Critical thinking and ability to look at the big picture to identify cross functional impacts and dependencies.
  • Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies, platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., CRM, CMS, AMS, Adobe, etc.).
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic guidance on technical solutions that meet business goals.
  • Analytical mindset and proactive problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in capability assessments to evaluate the health of people, processes, data, and technology.
  • Ability to create and manage roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and technical feasibility.
  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring teams to foster growth and achieve results.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and IT solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
