As a key leader within the Brand and Retail Communications team, you will play a vital role in driving the Retail Marketing Calendar and overseeing Brand/Equity Communications across key initiatives. As an integral member of the IMC team, you will harness the power of creativity to differentiate KFC in the marketplace, driving both short-term growth and long-term brand strength. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Brand & Retail Communications by bringing our retail calendar to life through ambitious, innovative strategies that connect emotionally with Canadians and elevate the KFC brand to new heights.
  • Lead in the development and delivery of IMC briefs.
  • Execute briefs in a way that inspires the IMC teams.
  • Develop 360 campaigns including TV, OOH, Digital, Social, POP, and Owned channels.
  • Lead post-campaign learnings and leverage data to inform future optimizations and briefs.
  • Lead offsite productions including Video, Photography, Brand Stunts, PR Events, etc.
  • Launch 360 Window campaigns internally to drive excitement and lead culture amongst the system and KFC coworkers.
  • Collaborate with Insights, Innovation, and Performance teams to craft impactful strategies that elevate the brand and drive meaningful transactions.
  • Deliver Consideration and Transaction lead Sales Growth through brave and disruptive creative ideas.
  • Lead franchisee communications to inspire and foster trust, exciting them with bold messages that improve our brand’s impact.
  • Present IMC plans and performance in quarterly franchisee meetings.
  • Challenge conventional communications to redefine industry standards, driving market share growth and positioning us as the Fried Chicken Leader in the category.
  • Act as a key agency partner, coordinating across the full IMC.
  • Assist in developing new IMC agency reviews to deepen partner understanding and build a one-team mindset.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (~10%) to lead production shoots, edits, PR events, etc.

Key Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or Commerce.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in CPG, QSR, or Retail Marketing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple deadlines.
  • Strong creative skills and ability to work with agencies.
  • Proven experience in brand building strategies and creative execution.
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous and evolving situations.
  • Track record of delivering results under high-pressure environments.
  • Passion for industry trends and brand elevation.
  • Ambition, resourcefulness, tenacity, and a desire to turnaround the brand in Canada.
  • Strong collaboration skills focused on efficiency and effectiveness.
