Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Manager, Data Protection Services to lead our global team in safeguarding customer data. You should have extensive experience in backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, and be capable of overseeing strategic growth and operational excellence in data protection services. Your entrepreneurial mindset and leadership will be key in ensuring data security and business success.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a global team responsible for backup and DR solutions, including Barracuda Hybrid Backup, Veeam, and others.
- Develop data protection strategies aligned with business goals, compliance, and market trends.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to data security, ransomware, hardware failures, and human error.
- Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure quick data and system recovery.
- Support customers with best practices in data encryption, secure storage, IAM, immutable backups, and risk assessments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations to innovate data protection solutions.
- Coordinate with IT teams to integrate data protection into overall infrastructure.
- Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
- Report on data protection activities, security risks, and compliance.
- Promote business growth through marketing, stakeholder engagement, and partnerships.
- Manage vendor contracts to optimize investments.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.10+ years in data protection, with expertise in backup and DR.Leadership experience managing data protection teams.Deep knowledge of Barracuda Hybrid Backup, Veeam, and similar solutions.Experience with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization.Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to manage a department as a business.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Essential Skills
Proficiency in cloud data protection solutions.Experience with DLP and encryption technologies.Ability to design and manage complex enterprise data protection solutions.Knowledge of industry standards for backups, offsite storage, and security audits.Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.Passion for data security and business continuity.Expertise in immutable backup strategies and ransomware prevention.Ability to integrate backups into disaster recovery plans.Skills in market opportunity identification and partnership development.Strong negotiation and project management skills.Dedication to team development and continuous learning.What We Offer
