The role's primary responsibility is to oversee acquisition credit risk strategies and policies for the Automotive portfolio within Global Risk Management, aligning with Canadian Banking strategic priorities. You will develop and monitor key performance indicators, analyze portfolio insights, and recommend policy changes to maximize risk-adjusted returns while managing portfolio PCL in a dynamic credit market. This involves strategy development, data analytics, collaboration with technology partners, and performance tracking.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Strategy Development & Implementation: Creating credit risk strategies, ensuring their successful implementation, and adhering to regulatory standards.
  2. Portfolio Analytics and Oversight: Using BI tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau) for reporting, monitoring portfolio performance, analyzing strategy effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  3. Automotive Financing Landscape: Staying informed on industry trends, building external relationships, and ensuring risk strategies are competitive and compliant.
  4. Supporting Business Initiatives: Ensuring new products and projects align with risk appetite, providing analysis, and supporting policy enhancements.

Qualifications include:

  • At least three years of experience in customer experience improvement and process automation, with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in programming/database tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Python).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of credit reporting, scoring, and portfolio management.
  • Degree in STEM or a relevant master's degree in business, economics, or analytics.
