In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain procedures, processes, and guidelines for training curriculum development and implementation.
- Manage a team of instructional designers and subject-matter experts to develop localization for courseware and simulation materials, ensuring alignment with national curriculum design and intent.
- Develop and maintain courses, publish curriculum materials according to policy and guidelines.
- Provide feedback on ATS curriculum development to adhere to regulatory standards and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for continuous improvement.
- Support and build teams, manage resources, and develop budgets for courseware development.
- Prioritize and motivate staff to meet objectives, ensuring delivery of high-quality training services.
- Collaborate across departments to provide effective training and improve success rates and costs.
- Work with leadership from various areas to ensure service excellence and alignment.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, or equivalent experience, with expertise in evaluation, adult education, training system design, curriculum development, measurement, and testing.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in operational training or management, preferably in simulation or courseware development.
- Experience in curriculum design, evaluation methodologies, and project management.
- Proven ability to lead diverse groups and facilitate collaboration.
- Experience in adult training, technical training program development, and managing training staff.
- Experience in project and financial management, managing multidisciplinary teams, and leading cultural change.
Knowledge:
- Training evaluation and performance metrics.
- Curriculum development and the international air transportation industry.
- Understanding of NAV CANADA’s goals, culture, ethics, and strategic plans.
- Project management, budgeting, and human resources.
- Operational culture within Air Traffic Services and related disciplines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operational equipment.
- Research methods.
