Roles and responsibilities:

1. Prepare & Review personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax returns.
2. Effectively plan, supervise and execute assurance (audits and reviews) engagements, accounting projects in accordance with all relevant professional standards and Firm policies.
3. Complete detailed review of assurance and non-assurance engagement files to ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
4. Conduct or provide input into staff performance reviews.
5. Develop the skills, capabilities, and potential of less experienced staff through supervision, coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, internal training, and challenging assignments.
6. Manage and focus firm resources efficiently.
7. Apply industry/business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address client issues.
8. Foster an environment of efficiency, innovation, and teamwork.

Professional and experience requirements:

1. CPA, CA designation and University degree.
2. Public accounting experience reviewing NTRs, performing audit and review engagements, and first-level review of assurance engagements.
3. Solid understanding of owner-manager tax concepts.
4. Ability to prepare complex T2 tax returns and review simpler ones.
5. Proficiency in Taxprep, Caseware, Quickbooks.
6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
