Job summary

MNP LLP in Canada is seeking a Manager for the Assurance & Accounting team to deliver high-quality client engagements and strategic financial insights. You will lead cross-functional engagement teams, provide technical accounting guidance, and drive value for diverse clients across industries.

We value leadership, CPA progression, and the ability to build lasting relationships while managing budgets and timelines. Travel flexibility is expected to support client needs nationwide.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working towards a CPA designation is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles.
• Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.
• Experience working with accounting and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Lead client facing engagement teams to complete compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions.
• Deliver industry and technical expertise in assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables.
• Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients’ needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop.
• Review of financial files to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition).
• Maintain quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business, financial entries and reports.
• Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
• Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary.

The annual salary range for this position is: $60,000–$110,000.
