Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Partners and the Assurance team on various engagements (Review, Compilation, White Paper, Tax)
  • Mentoring and training team members and managing engagement progress
  • Analyzing financial data, accounting processes, and operations
  • Reviewing reconciliations, tax returns, and financial statements (primarily ASPE)
  • Consulting with clients on business and tax planning
  • Providing attentive, personalized client service
  • Identifying service opportunities and fostering collaboration
  • Coaching team members for performance and growth
  • Participating in firm-wide events and fostering workplace culture

Qualifications for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience if no degree/diploma/CPA
  • At least 4 years of Assurance experience in a professional services firm
  • Proven client service success
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity and attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Caseware, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online, Sage (assets)
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of Investment Holding Companies (assets)
